Rep. Dawn Creekmore was the recipient of the 2010 National Visionary Voice Award on April 19th. This award recognizes the creativity and hard work of individuals around the country who have demonstrated outstanding advocacy and community work to end or prevent sexual violence. The award was presented to Rep. Creekmore by Helen Jane Brown, Executive Director of the Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ACASA) at the North Little Rock Police/Fire Training Center. National Crime Victims' Rights Week is April 18-24 and April is Sexual Assault Awareness month.

Representative Dawn Creekmore of Bauxite was named “Legislator of the Year” by the Arkansas Psychological Association and recently was named one of the 10 Most Influential Arkansas Legislators by Talk Business Quarterly-2009

Representative Dawn Creekmore, Bauxite, was presented an award on July 22nd from John Walsh (host of America's Most Wanted) on behalf of DNA Saves for her extraordinary efforts in introducing and enacting HB 1473 to require DNA upon felony arrest, called "Juli's Law" in honor of murder victim Juli Busken. This legislation will have a direct impact on protecting the public safety of the citizens of Arkansas by solving crimes, preventing crimes, and exonerating the innocent.
